Senior React & Next.js Engineer.
10+ years in software development and 5+ years building production applications with React. I build and ship web and mobile products using React, TypeScript, Next.js and React Native, with strong ownership from requirements to production.
AI-assisted development · End-to-end feature ownership · Remote B2B · EU-based · US timezone overlap
A broad stack with a clear centre: React.
React, TypeScript and Next.js are where I work every day. Everything else — backend, APIs, AI integration, headless commerce — is there so I can own a feature end-to-end instead of stopping at the UI layer.
React, TypeScript & Next.js
My core stack and what I work with daily: production React interfaces with complex state, typed data flow, server rendering and reusable frontend architecture.
React Native & Expo
Premium cross-platform apps with native performance and clean animations. With React Native and Expo — fluid iOS & Android experiences from one codebase.
Backend, data & APIs
The server side of a feature, so I don't stop at the UI: documented REST and GraphQL APIs, relational and document databases, real-time channels and AI integrations (Gemini, OpenAI).
10 years · WordPress & PHP
I know the backend I migrate away from, from the inside. A decade of WooCommerce, custom plugins and themes means legacy modernisation is a planned migration, not a rewrite — and headless WordPress stays a solid data layer behind a Next.js frontend.
AI-assisted engineering, with human ownership.
I use AI coding tools throughout my workflow for codebase exploration, implementation, refactoring, debugging, test generation and documentation. I review the output, validate edge cases and make the architectural decisions before code reaches production.
The goal is not to generate more code. AI accelerates the work — engineering decisions and production ownership remain mine.
Requirements → Production
Requirements → plan → implementation → tests → review → production. I code with Claude Code, using skills, subagents and spec-driven development to automate scaffolding, refactoring and test generation. The review and the decision to ship stay with me.
Integration & orchestration
I wire Gemini and OpenAI into real backends: structured outputs, retrieval (RAG), and function/tool calling — with care for cost, latency, and data security.
Designed for it from day one
I design the data model and UX so intelligent features slot in natively, not as an afterthought. Where AI belongs in a product is an architectural decision, not a feature request.
AI in the products I ship
Gemini-powered financial analysis, recommendation engines, assistants, and automations that remove manual work — real features, in production (see Investment Analysis & ERIS).
Real platforms, shipped and live.
30+ production web and mobile applications across 60+ client engagements. These are the ones worth reading about.

Next-Matrix
A Next.js 15 / React 19 B2B ordering & configuration platform for custom shutters and awnings. JWT/REST to a headless WordPress + WooCommerce backend, with sub-second order calculation.

Investment Analysis Tools
An analytical app for stock-market monitoring. Uses Gemini AI to process financial data and generate custom investment recommendations.

Coșul Local
An offline-ready marketplace PWA connecting customers with local producers: catalog, cart, order tracking and delivery logs, on Next.js 16 and Supabase SSR.

ERIS
A mobile app (Easy Recipe Intelligent System) for smart food inventory and meal planning: barcode scanning, Socket.io multi-user sync, and recipe recommendations based on available stock.

Matrix UK
A B2B platform for made-to-measure products, with a 13-phase dual-currency pricing engine, container grouping, and QuickBooks oauth2 invoicing.

Balkan Dating App
A cross-platform mobile dating app for the Balkan community, focused on cultural compatibility and real-time messaging.
A track record of consistent performance and on-time delivery.
Software architect and team lead roles in profile companies — guiding teams and turning complex specs into successful products.
ROWEB
Own customer-facing ordering features end-to-end for HoReCa e-commerce platforms, from requirement to production. Integrate complex business logic and third-party APIs into front ends used by real customers.
Lifetime Shutters & Windows
Led frontend architecture and implementation for a production B2B configuration platform used daily by dealer companies. Migrated legacy WordPress functionality toward a modern Next.js / headless architecture without interrupting live ordering, and designed reusable configurator patterns that removed duplicated implementation across product families.
Thecon
Technical coordinator for 30+ production websites and interactive platforms, owning the frontend architecture decisions. Built advanced product-configuration systems where UI state drives pricing and manufacturing rules, and mentored a team of 4 frontend developers on React best practices, reviewing their work into production.
SHUTTER NES CRAZY S.R.L.
Deliver web and mobile products for national and international clients under B2B contracts, from analysis to release. On most engagements I'm the single engineer, owning architecture, implementation and production responsibility.

Marian Putirac
I'm a Senior React & Next.js Engineer with 10+ years in software development and 5+ years working with React. My core stack is React / Next.js and TypeScript, with additional experience in React Native & Expo, backend integrations and WordPress (Headless CMS) architectures.
That decade started in WordPress and PHP, and 10 years of it is why I read a legacy backend as fast as a React one — useful when the job is modernising a system that still has to keep serving traffic.
I'm most effective in roles where I can take ownership of a feature from requirements and architecture through implementation, debugging, testing and production. I use AI coding tools heavily to accelerate exploration, implementation and refactoring, while keeping engineering decisions, review and production responsibility under my control.
I take features from requirements through architecture, implementation, testing and production. I work independently, collaborate with product and backend teams, and take responsibility for the quality of what I ship.
AI accelerates implementation, but architecture, review and production responsibility stay with me.
Working together, briefly.
Who owns the intellectual property and code?+
You do. 100%. Once a project or milestone is paid, all IP rights, database layouts, and repository access transfer fully to your company. No licensing fees, no vendor lock-in, no hidden ongoing costs.
Do you offer post-launch support and maintenance?+
Yes. Every project includes a 30-day warranty where I fix any bugs free of charge. Beyond that, I offer monthly retainer packages covering updates, backups, security monitoring, and minor features.
What is your starting budget and project size?+
Direct project engagements typically start at €3,000 for structured web builds or custom software. For technical audits, migrations, or senior advisory, I work on a daily or hourly fee. I supply transparent fixed-price proposals after an initial scoping call.
How do we collaborate and communicate during projects?+
I prioritize full alignment and async transparency. We set up a Slack or Teams workspace for daily updates. The repository lives on GitHub with real-time access. I run bi-weekly screen-share demo sessions.
Are you available, and what's your notice period?+
I'm currently taking on new senior React / Next.js roles. Most of my work is under B2B/independent contracts rather than fixed employment, so I can usually start within a short notice period — we confirm the exact date on a call once scope is clear.
Do you work on B2B contracts, full-time employment, or both?+
Both. Most of my client work runs as a remote B2B contract through my company, which is how I operate today. I'm also open to full-time remote employment for the right senior React / product engineering role.
What timezone and languages do you work in?+
I'm based in Galați, Romania (EU timezone, EET/EEST), with regular working-hours overlap with US teams. I'm a native Romanian speaker and work fluently in English (advanced) for all client and team communication.
Direct access to senior-level engineering.
Whether it's a Next.js platform, a React Native app, or a headless migration — I cut the overhead of large agencies and deliver directly.
