Senior React & Next.js Engineer

10+ years in software development and 5+ years building production applications with React. I build and ship web and mobile products using React, TypeScript, Next.js and React Native, with strong ownership from requirements to production.

Five products, and what I actually owned in each.

Ordered by how close they are to a senior React role: architecture, state, business logic and production responsibility.

Next-Matrix
01 / SOLE FRONTEND OWNER & ARCHITECT

Next-Matrix

Challenge
A legacy WordPress B2B ordering platform for made-to-measure shutters and awnings had become slow and impossible to extend, while the product configuration rules kept growing.
What I owned
Frontend architecture, the configurator engine, client/server state strategy, the REST contract with the headless backend and the incremental migration path to production.
Result
Sub-second order calculation on configurations with hundreds of dependent options, running live for 115 registered companies and 8,900+ orders.

Investment Analysis Tools
02 / FULL PRODUCT OWNERSHIP (WEB + MOBILE)

Investment Analysis Tools

Challenge
Turn raw market data into recommendations a non-analyst can act on, on both web and mobile, without a team behind it.
What I owned
Product definition, data model, the AI layer (structured outputs, prompt design, cost and latency control), the web app and the React Native client.
Result
Web + mobile built solo in about a month, Lighthouse 96/100/98/100, with every AI output backed by deterministic calculations the user can check.

Coșul Local
03 / LEAD FRONTEND ENGINEER

Coșul Local

Challenge
Local producers needed ordering, live tracking and delivery management for customers shopping from a phone on a weak rural connection.
What I owned
The whole frontend — marketplace, cart, checkout, order tracking and delivery logs — plus data access through Supabase SSR, the offline/PWA layer and the performance budget.
Result
Live at cosul-local.ro with Lighthouse 98 performance, 0.8s LCP and a cart that survives a dropped connection.

ERIS
04 / LEAD MOBILE DEVELOPER

ERIS

Challenge
Keep a shared food inventory consistent across several household members editing it at the same time, offline included.
What I owned
Real-time architecture over Socket.io, conflict handling, barcode scanning flow and the recommendation logic over available stock.
Result
Multi-user sync that stays correct under concurrent edits, in a cross-platform Expo app.

05 / LEAD DEVELOPER — BUSINESS LOGIC & INTEGRATIONS

Matrix UK

Challenge
Price made-to-measure B2B products across two currencies and 13 dependent pricing phases, then push correct invoices into an accounting system.
What I owned
The pricing engine, container grouping rules and the QuickBooks OAuth2 invoicing integration.
Result
Dealer pricing and invoicing that reconciles with accounting without manual correction.

/ what i bring

What you get when you put me on a team.

01

End-to-end ownership

I take a feature from requirements to production instead of only implementing isolated UI tickets.

02

React & TypeScript

Years of production React across complex state, APIs and reusable frontend architectures — not demo apps.

03

Product thinking

I focus on the user problem and the business requirement, not only on the implementation.

04

Debugging

I investigate runtime behaviour, data flow, state and network requests to find root causes instead of patching symptoms.

05

AI-assisted productivity

I use modern AI coding workflows for exploration, implementation, refactoring and testing, while keeping manual review and technical ownership.

06

Web + mobile

I work across React web applications and React Native / Expo products with the same level of ownership.

/ ai-assisted engineering

AI-assisted engineering, with human ownership.

I use AI coding tools throughout my workflow for codebase exploration, implementation, refactoring, debugging, test generation and documentation. I review the output, validate edge cases and make the architectural decisions before code reaches production.

The goal is not to generate more code. The goal is to reduce repetitive work and spend more time on architecture, product decisions and code quality.

AI accelerates my workflow, but engineering decisions and production ownership remain mine.

AI participates in every step. Review and the decision to ship do not leave my hands.

/ how i work

Senior-level ownership.

I take features from requirements through architecture, implementation, testing and production. I can work independently, collaborate with product and backend teams, and take responsibility for the quality of what I ship.

Async and written first

Clear written updates, decisions recorded where the team can find them, meetings only when they change something.

Small, reviewable increments

I ship in slices that can be reviewed and reverted, instead of long-lived branches nobody can read.

I ask before I assume

When a requirement is ambiguous I surface it early with a concrete proposal, not after a week of work.

Production is part of the job

Monitoring what I ship, fixing what breaks and treating regressions as my responsibility.
